British politician has epiphany

A Tory member of the UK Parliament has suggested doing away with customary prayer time in parliament.        Fantastic idea. Why the hell has it taken so long for anyone to come forth with this?   Hardly anyone is not really atheist in this day and age and the insincerity of people compelled to participate in archaic religious rites they cant possibly really believe in just cements public disrespect for administration.
Make them stop all the theatrical nonsense and get on with the job they are elected for.    Estimates of numbers of religious believers are vastly overestimated and the inability to compartmentalize their religion is the sign of the religious fanatic/terrorist type who hopefully is a minority in parliament or anywhere in the Anglosphere.
