 The above link seems to be about the function of religion in the current era and ownership of history.
   Historic religious property/assets was accumulated through compulsory tithing systems imposed on the people.  Artisans and others laboured for thousands of years. Architectural elements trace history and predate Christianity. Village church design can comprise for example- a Roman Font built on a pagan burial mound with Norman era foundations later renovated in the Victorian era, medieval stone floors over burial vaults and Victorian era graveyard statuary with carved internal sarcophagi of renaissance benefactor origin.  Various people over the centuries may have gifted funds originally for dynastic glorification yet of lasting historic value and interest to the people. 
 These assets should no longer be used for religious purposes if they cannot be maintained appropriately as museum heritage.        All too often village graveyards are destroyed by uprooting existent historic graveyard statuary/outdoor sculpture, over tidying, and continued burials obliterating history with polished black granite, gold engraved lettering and plastic flowers in contemporary urn receptacles.       
 Carpeted heated social centres, like sham marriages for immigration purposes, may be a religious money spinner but it is not appropriate to destroy the people's religious history museum to create such centres. 
  The church should train history wardens to maintain the people's built and crafted created heritage and forget about trying to continue religion or interfere with society.  It is squandering and destroying the assets and heritage of the people.     Perhaps The National Trust should be handed the historic property of religion and it would be best maintained by skilled preservationists.
 A proposed contemporary refit and redesignation of an historic church building acknowledges the inappropriateness of religion in the contemporary era yet bizarrely blames created artifacts for this and tries to obliterate the evidence and labour of the people.
 Yet this is not acceptable to the public as it transpires they are lifestyle worshippers and aesthetes. -Who enjoys praying in a warm carpety fug? Are they Assembly of God?- they are saying.
  The antiques market may be rubbing their hands with glee at the thought of the pews and freed up flagstones exciting home renovators, but English Heritage and tourism industry will see the irate parishioner's point.        Atheists with UK ancestory just despair of the greedy religious managements with their hands on the people's history and no apparent wish or ability to custodian it properly.   This despite constant ploys for -funds to repair the roof- and banks of stashed money for the regular embezzlement of Ponzi schemes and thieving vicars.

At the above link, a man is banned from Yodelling, arrested and fined for yodelling whilst lawn mowing, as religious neighbours assert the dominance of a religious prayer chant and the judge agrees.
 Hmmm Yodelling versus muslim prayer chant. Which is the most annoying?          Theres also the lawn mowing noise to consider. Everyone finds that irritating.
  The judges decision in favour of religion over music in the suburbs of Austria is a demented decision but perhaps explainable by overcompensation for Austria's appalling past human rights legacy.  Nonetheless, was that caused by yodelling?

The Wikileak Revelations

   While poor Julian Assange rots in prison on trumped up charges at the behest of The State, the leaked Vatican Irish memos are being published in mainstream media. What they reveal is yet more corruption and collusion of The State by religion. In this case to cover up an endemic culture of pedophilia in the church involving denial and cover ups of the wide spread abuse.   Of course this abuse is worldwide not just in Ireland and not just within Catholicism circles so that the State colluding in this worldwide has implications for all child abuse everywhere as a dangerous continuing pattern is set of downplaying these crimes and punishing victims who speak out.
The picture of religion as analogous to a subterranean creature with poisonous tentacles that reach out everywhere and contaminate everything is rendered poignant by these wikileak memos of correspondence between officials of the Irish Government and The Vatican.
 Another aspect of these wikileaks reveals complications caused to nations by the interweaving of religion into the mechanics of The State. With disputing Christian sects perceived as still holding the power to tear The State apart.
  With looming threats from other religions fighting for dominance, who needs any of them? The State needs to reassert secularist principles and be free of all religious influence.

  1/3 of UK Muslims back murder and want Sharia Law in the UK,  according to the above link detailing a Wikileaks release.     
 Other religions support for murder in the UK and elsewhere is not mentioned in the leaked US polls data.  The desire of the religious to murder others has a precedent in UK history and should be taken seriously.
 Sharia Law is the biggest threat to female equality/empowerment in the Anglosphere for at least hundreds of years and males are not immuned from this threat as muslims practice circumcision without informed consent and have a raft of barbaric criminal punishments to which they subject the human body of both perceived enemies and the faithful.    They are also de normalized as most in the Anglosphere see things.

 I do not read religious books, so I cannot be sure that it says in the bible -thou shalt not speak ill of the dead-            Anyway, the christians at the above link ignore such time worn sentiment when haranguing the deceased Elizabeth Edwards for not exploiting her terminal illness to publicise christianity.       They are described in the article as a -Hate Church- and are American rural based and centred mainly around the head preacher's large family. Maybe they think it is acceptable to conduct public protests at a funeral. They may have their twisted religious reasons.    Their behaviour is counterproductive to their cause,vulgar,nasty and intimidating.         People who work their medical sagas to push religion must now be viewed as possibly only doing this to avoid being bullied by organized religious groups like these.

Taxpayers fund church abuse

Australians who were physically and psychologically abused and used as child labour in Salvation Army run children's homes are now calling on the government to fund compensation packages. They say they will never get over the abuse, that an apology from the Salvation Army is not enough and can never wipe away the scars and that the government should compensate them as the state allowed the church to abuse them.
 Meanwhile the church which constantly garners money from the public for investment and spending on a perpetual and emotive self advertising cycle accumulates hundreds of millions of dollars.

 Advertising itself is tax deductible and for charities tax is doubly avoided. Many Australian church groups invested in Lehman Brothers and massive public funds have consequently been embezzled in that saga.
 The public should object to this as they are being cheated and it is unconscionable to exploit terrible social problems such as alcoholism and domestic violence for profits which are then squandered with these social problems increasing regardless.                         Alcoholism is only reduced by state alcohol control systems and domestic violence is reduced as a follow on effect.        Smaller family sizes, better housing, more homogeneous societies and smaller populations are the factors that reduce social problems. Religion does not contribute one iota to achieve this.  Religion encourages people to have too many kids and stands in the way of contraception and abortion progress and availability then it makes a further industry of processing the damage ineffectively. This dual ineptitude of religion and State is pathetic.
